Founded in 2007 and with offices in London and Hong Kong, Strabens Hall provide clear, objective independent financial planning, investment and wealth structuring advice. They combine many of the aspects of a family office and wealth manager, to help their clients to create, conserve, enhance and enjoy their wealth. The Directors, facing a period of recruitment and company growth, wanted specifically to explore the kind of organisation they were committed to developing, and to get of on the right foot with their newly enlarged team.

How did we help?

We proposed a two-part programme of training and coaching for all Directors and staff:

  • Phase 1 for Directors / Senior Managers allowed for in-depth discussion, clarification of roles and exploration of team performance, as well as skills content
  • Phase 2 for Middle Managers / Staff had less of a ‘team’ focus, but covered the same skills content

Cultural / group learning: in addition to learning individual skills, all participants had the opportunity during the workshops:

  • To explore the stage of development of the organisation and how this impacted participants’ choice of communication and management styles
  • To uncover and resolve differences of perception over the future strategy, performance, and culture of the business
  • To produce immediate agreements, solutions and action steps for any problems uncovered, and convert these to SMART goals for achievement during the programme
  • To receive coaching on real-time, real-world leadership and management challenges

Really pleased with the output from our work with Kate of Leaders Lab. Our wider team are learning some valuable lessons and everyday, as it turns out, is a school day.
