I’m Amanda Baines. I’m a leadership coach and mentor and I help two distinct types of client.

Firstly, I work with CEOs and senior executives of large organisations who want to really step up their leadership. They want to understand how to fully engage and motivate their teams, so that they can take the long view and focus on making their firm or partnership really successful. These clients are mostly professional advisors – lawyers, wealth managers, accountants, and real estate firms. They are frequently international and household names.

Secondly, I help younger founders and the CEOs of smaller companies who are moving from start-up to scale-up. Often when a business is moving through this transition it really struggles. This can be because the leader doesn’t fully understand that what’s required now is a very different sort of focus and style of leadership. The problems they encounter are ‘textbook’ for this phase of scaling up their organisation. People can get stuck trying to manage everything themselves, mostly because they don’t know how to fully engage their team and they can’t work out a different approach to get the results they need. I combine my coaching experience with leadership consultancy, to bring a whole-company approach to organisation culture, team and leadership development.

Gil spent the first 23 years of his career in a number of large national and multi-national companies in sales and talent management, after which he launched his own consultancy in 1987. Since then he has developed a reputation for facilitation, conflict resolution, and designing and implementing leading edge Change Management and Organisation Development initiatives.

He is also a specialist in client relationship management and cross-cultural collaboration.
